These tools were designed to be used in the manufacturing of clay tiles that are used as a central element in a line of consumer products. The main tools consist of a wooden press & release clay tile cutter that allows for negligible variation in size and shape when producing large quantities of tile.
The second stage of the process uses templates that can cut different segment from within the tiles allowing for the final products to have for example holes for buttons, knobs and speakers while still retaining the unified outer dimensions of the base clay tile.
The last stage of the manufacturing process is a low cone .08 firing of the tiles, creating a terra-cotta like finish.
These tools can be easily constructed from basic materials that can be found in most regions and are designed to be used with little training or explanation required.
